Is Kylie’s Diary and Valentine’s Day Collection Worth It?

I recently reviewed the new Kylie’s Diary from Kylie Cosmetics on Valentine’s Day! I was super worried because it didn’t show up until February 13th 1pm EST! So, of course, I scrambled and filmed a tutorial/review as quickly as I could and uploaded it to YouTube just in time for Valentine’s Day!

The Kyshadows

I used all but two of the kyshadows from this palette and…tbh…I was surprised by how pigmented the colors were! I applied eye primer beforehand but they were so colorful I don’t think I really needed the primer.

There are nine shadows in total:

  • Bae
  • Heart Breaker
  • Make Me Blush
  • Sweet Like Candy
  • Love Potion
  • Be Mine
  • Heart Eyes
  • Romance
  • Loves me not

Love Potion is my favorite because it is so bright that I had to tone it down with a little bit of Heart Breaker.

The Valentine LipKit and Liner

The next review was the Valentine Lipkit and Liner which I knew I wanted ever since I saw Kylie Jenner advertise the color on her SnapChat.

Kylie LipKit Valentine

The Kylie LipKit Valentine is the most pigmented lip color I have ever tried and really thrilled my inner Puerto Rican that loves bright colors (like that time I died my hair completely red…poison ivy red).

Like all the Kylie Lipkits, Valentine is easy to apply, matte, and has little rub-off. The corners of my lips had a little rub off but that tends to happen with all lipsticks in that area.

The Blush

The blushes are First Date and Virginity and, while they are lovely colors, I didn’t feel that they were very pigmented. I couldn’t see them through the photos and video on my video.

I grabbed more blush (virginity) but it still didn’t show.

So, there you have it! The good and the bad of Kylie’s Diary from the Valentines Collection.

My Verdict: The Valentine LipKit and the Kyshadows are worth it but the blush still needs work.

Did you also pick up the Kylie Diary? What did you think? Let me know!
